Lock Haven University is a comprehensive state-owned university with over 200 full and part time faculty providing programs to 5,300 students enrolled in 60 undergraduate programs and five graduate programs in the arts, education, humanities, sciences, health care, and business. The Foundation is the fund raising arm of the University.

Chief Financial Officer

The Lock Haven University Foundation (LHUF) seeks a Chief Financial Officer to assist the Executive Director with the management of fiscal and operational affairs of the Foundation.

Reporting to the Executive Director of the Foundation, the Chief Financial Officer manages the fiscal affairs of the Foundation; works with independent accountants, attorneys and trust officers on financial and administrative matters; manages the LHUF audit; maintains the computer systems, internal controls and official documents of LHUF; maintains employment records and employee benefits; manages the operations team including camps and student interns; maintains records on planned gifts; manages operations of the Foundation fixed assets (properties); maintains the budget and other duties as assigned as necessary to support the mission of LHUF.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and CPA/CMA (MBA preferred) and a minimum of three years of relevant experience are required. Demonstrated excellence in managing, finance, accounting, budgeting, control and reporting required. Skill in examining, developing and recommending financial, human resources, and technology policies and procedures required. Experience in higher education preferred. Experience working with Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge preferred. A team player with a collaborative and flexible style who is a hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, mission-drive environment is required. Strong communication skills with a commitment to developing team members is a must. Strong research skills are desirable.
