Ashley Koser serves as the Executive Director at The Lock Haven University Foundation. Koser brings over 12 years of experience to her role. 

Prior to coming to the LHUF, she served as the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement at Lock Haven University and the Assistant Director of the Susquehanna University Fund. 

Koser earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in Agricultural Communications from Penn State University. She lives in Lock Haven with her husband, Tyler and three sons.

Holly Beaver serves as the Director of Donor Relations and Operations at The Lock Haven University Foundation.  She is responsible for the daily operations of the Foundation in four key areas: (1) Stewardship; (2) Advancement Services; (3) Human Resources; (4) Information and Technology System.  Holly brings over 35 years of experience to her role.

After 35 years, Holly retired from Penn State University in April of 2021 where she served as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President and Provost in the Office of the President.  Prior to her role in the Office of the President, Holly served as the Director of Undergraduate Education in the College of the Liberal Arts. 

Holly lives in Beech Creek with her husband.  They have five children and eight grandchildren (with the 9th one on the way).  


Aaron Best

Aaron joined The Lock Haven University Foundation in October 2023 as the Accounts Payable Specialist. He is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring all payments are made in compliance with all relevant regulations, laws & reporting requirements. Aaron comes to Lock Haven University Foundation from the Bloomsburg University Foundation, where he gained valuable experience in accounts payable, fund accounting, property management, and marketing.


Aaron is set to complete his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Data Analytics in December 2023 from Commonwealth University - Bloomsburg. Aaron earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance with a specialization in Personal Financial Planning, Manga Cum Laude, in December 2022 from Bloomsburg University

Barbie joined The Lock Haven University Foundation as the Senior Director of Major Gifts in May 2023. After spending a year on the LHU Foundation Board and having 25+ years in advancement experience, Barbie intends to make a direct impact by working directly with alumni and friends in their philanthropic journey as a staff member of the foundation. 

She joins us from Penn State University where she worked for over 15 years in the Development and Alumni Relations Division in the capacities of alumni relations and fundraising for the Eberly College of Science (10 years), the Penn State Alumni Association (2 years) and the College of Information Sciences and Technology as a Major Gift Officer (5 years).  

Barbie is a proud 1990 graduate of Lock Haven University with her degree
in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. She lives in the State College, PA area with her husband, Tom Collins ’87, and together they have one daughter, Anna, who is currently enrolled at The Haven and plays for the Women’s Lacrosse team.


Dan Cummings

Dan joined the Lock Haven University Foundation in August 2023 as the Associate Director of Accounting & Finance. He is responsible for overseeing all accounting and finance operations of the Foundation.  Dan comes to Lock Haven University Foundation from Bloomsburg University Foundation, where he gained valuable experience in fund accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and property management.

Dan earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Accounting from Bloomsburg University. He currently lives in Danville with his wife, Hannah.


Katelynn Hanna

Katelynn serves at the Director of Annual Giving. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the annual fund, stewardship, and phone-athon.

She is a proud 2010 alumnus of Lock Haven University where she earned her degree in Recreation Management. Hanna has served the university for nine years and is excited to continue her role at Lock Haven University Foundation.

She lives in Lock Haven with her husband, Eli and their two children, Isaiah and Nora.

Stacey Horner

Stacey joined the Lock Haven University Foundation in June of 2019 as the Fiscal Manager. Stacey came to the Lock Haven University Foundation from the Lock Haven University where she served as the Assistant to the Vice President of Enrollment Management from 2016-2019. While Stacey worked for the Lock Haven University, she worked closely with the Lock Haven University Foundation with student scholarships.

Stacey is a graduate of Leadership Clinton County and is currently on the Advisory Committee. She has assisted with Pop Warner Cheerleading and AYSO Soccer.

Stacey is a 2003 graduate of South Hills Business School with a degree as a Computerized Office Specialist.

She resides in Lock Haven and has a daughter and a set of twins along with two grandchildren.


John Vitale

John — a proud 2013 alumnus, summa cum laude, of Lock Haven University’s Communication Media program — joined the LHU Foundation in March of 2018. As Assistant Director of Engagement, John manages or comanages all aspects of the Foundation’s marketing & communications, including direct response marketing, web design, print & digital storytelling, content management, social media engagement, and more.

Prior to joining the LHUF, he served as Director of Media & Public Relations for Sage Age Strategies, a full-service ad agency specializing in senior living market growth. Originally from Queens, NY, John now resides in Williamsport with his wife, Alyssa ‘14, their sons, Vinny and Leo, and their cat, Garlic.
